Discipline is found most often in the tiny uncomfortable, daily choices
These tiny, bite sized choices like daily exercise, reading, or meditation, help create a structured framework that fosters personal growth and productivity.
Building small disciplines into our lives is crucial for achieving long-term success and well-being. The focus is on the small here. A bucket full of successful micro actions to build the bigger goals.

For example, dedicating just 15 minutes each morning to exercise can improve physical health and mental clarity throughout the day. Similarly, practicing gratitude by writing down three things you’re thankful for each night can enhance emotional well-being.

James Clear, author of “Atomic Habits,” states, “Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement,” highlighting the cumulative power of small, consistent actions.

Practical exercises to try include setting a timer for focused work intervals (Pomodoro Technique), journaling daily reflections, or dedicating time to learn a new skill.

These small but consistent efforts can lead to significant improvements over time, underscoring the profound impact of daily disciplines.

A great example of this principle in fighting, is leg kicks. When properly aimed and timed, a well landed leg kick does significant damage. Repeated leg kicks will disable your opponent. An opponent who can’t stand, can’t fight.

In Jiu Jitsu, a great example of this principle is simply pitching up to as many classes as possible. Regardless of how you feel, you do it anyway. That’s powerful!

In the end, the disciplines don’t need to be BIG all the time. You can build up to the big stuff! But let’s start creating and maintaining those small things in your life, that make the big differences
