A Combat Jiu Jitsu Black Belt

Describe the most ambitious DIY project you’ve ever taken on.

Well, I sort of just started this project because I was born to a Jiu Jitsu Black Belt father; so I learned it from day 1!

My parents even met at Karate class – so it’s kinda in my blood.

A Jiu Jitsu black belt takes (on average) 10 – 15 years to complete. That’s the longest out of any martial art.

I had to make the choice multiple times in my life if I was going to continue my training and be in the 0.1% of people that starts and finishes a Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, or to just quit like the rest of my classmates.

Well, 28 years and passing my Black Belt later, I can say that Jiu Jitsu is the most ambitious DIY project I’ve ever taken on, continued, and won’t stop working on.

What’s yours??
