Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

Jesus. There is only one name, and that is the name of Jesus. Praise and Glory to Him who gave His life for the life of the World.

Quite simply put, “He Is” the greatest teacher of the entire story. He was, He Is, He Is to come again (soon)!

He taught me, He teaches me, He will continue to teach me. He has changed my heart, as He has changed countless before mine, and will continue to change countless after mine.

He is the great Almighty one, who gave His life blood, as a payment to ransom me from my sin. The living one. The king of all kings, the Lord of all lords. The beginning and the ending. The alpha and the omega. The good Shepard who left the 99, to come find this one very lost sheep, named Alex.

I have had, and still have so many fantastic, wonderful, and hugely influential teachers in my life.

My beautiful wife teaches me everyday how to soften and love more tenderly.

My children teach me daily about the father heart of God, and how dearly He loves us.

My father has taught me more about the art and science of Jiu Jitsu than I could possibly describe.

My mother has taught me strength, resilience, respect, and good manners.

My sister has taught me to stand up for what I believe is right, and has helped I still a deeper sense of family in me than most get to know in their lives.

I’m grateful for all my teachers.

But, in the end, there is only One Name, and “He Is” ✝️
